SWL: Safe working load (maximum capacity / 6)
If SWL of single Rig= 3t (good for capacity),
Same union Purchase SWL about= 1t (good for handling) ←usually preferred.
DWT= deadweight; in brief, Cargo Carrying capacity (loaded displacement – light displacement).
DWT available= in brief, how much more can be loaded.
Displacement= In brief, total weight of ship.
Light displacement= in brief, light ship’s weight
Loaded displacement= in brief, weight of ship with full loaded condition.
SF= stowage factor= Space occupied/taken by unit (by 1t) Cargo
More the stowage factor- lighter the cargo and vice/versa.
BS= Broken stowage= wasted space due to the shape of cargo loaded by (%)
Cargo SF> 40 ft3/t Freight by weight/Tons
